Job summary

KidStrong is seeking enthusiastic Children's Coaches in Florida to work with kids aged 12 months through 11 years, focusing on brain, physical, and character development under our evolving monthly curriculum.

You will engage with parents, maintain a positive, energetic classroom, and support multiple classes per shift. This role offers a flexible part-time schedule and opportunities for private events and camps.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching children ages 12 months to 11 years is preferred.
• Ability to explain the KidStrong curriculum to parents/guardians.
• CPR certification is required.
• Strong communication with families and team members is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coach classes of 6–15 children aged 12 months to 11 years.
• Teach and implement the KidStrong curriculum as provided by HQ.
• Ensure classes start and end on schedule and maintain curriculum pace.
• Greet students and guardians and communicate progress.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized center environment.
• Record class data and share attendance/awards with parents.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
• Be physically active on shift and assist with equipment as needed.

KidStrong Children's Coach Role and Schedule Details

• We are looking for a coach with athletic or coaching experience who ideally has experience coaching kids ages 12 months to 11 years old.
• KidStrong Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from the evolving monthly curriculum
• The ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding "the why" behind the KidStrong curriculum
• Our classes run typically weekdays, 9 am -11 am and evenings until 7 pm, and weekends are typically from 8 am through about 2pm.
• Opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on studio needs.
• Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching and camp hours.

KidStrong Children's Coach Responsibilities

• Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
• Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
• Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
• Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at the beginning of class
• Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading the class
• Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
• Ensure cleanliness of the center, including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift
• Effectively use the KS Coach's App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
• Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers
• Complete training through FranConnect as required by the HQ Training and Certification team
• Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
• Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
• Assist parents of students ages three and younger with the direction and flow of a class
• Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month's curriculum
• Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by the KidStrong Director
• Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Academy - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (for example Winter Break, Summer Break)
• Must obtain certified status by the HQ Training and Certification team
• Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month’s curriculum

KidStrong Childrens Coach Qualifications

• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
• Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
• Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics
• CPR certified
• Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter who just gets a job done
