Job summary

CALEX SPORTS INC seeks an After School Pickleball/Tennis Coach to lead K–5 classes at Bay Area elementary schools. You’ll create a fun, supportive environment where kids learn, play and thrive after school.

Must be 19+, have a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and be willing to undergo a background check and vaccination. Teaching or sports experience is a plus; training provided. Classes run 1–1.5 hours, Mon–Fri, with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching or playing pickleball/tennis preferred but not required.
• Certification (USPTA/PTR) preferred but not mandatory.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Will ingness to undergo background check and be fully vaccinated.
• Flexible, reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Energize and manage classes of 8-16 enthusiastic students aged 5-10.
• Deliver engaging lessons using provided plans.
• Participate in a two-day training session to get up to speed with our program.
• Set up and transport pickleball/tennis equipment to ensure a smooth class experience.
• Take attendance and manage student sign-in/out procedures.
• Foster positive communication with parents and school staff.
• Provide constructive feedback on each student’s progress.
• Snap photos of kids in action during sessions to showcase their progress.

Your Role:

As an After School Pickleball/Tennis Coach, you’ll lead engaging classes for students in grades K-5 at various elementary schools. You’ll be responsible for creating a fun and supportive environment where kids can learn, play, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Class Management:

• Energize and manage classes of 8-16 enthusiastic students aged 5-10.
• Deliver exciting lessons using our provided plans that keep kids engaged.

Training & Preparation:

• Participate in a two-day training session to get you up to speed with our program.
• Set up and transport pickleball/tennis equipment to ensure a smooth class experience.

Administrative Tasks:

• Take attendance and manage student sign-in/out procedures.
• Foster positive communication with parents and school staff.
• Provide constructive feedback on each student’s progress.

Capture the Fun:

• Snap photos of kids in action during sessions to showcase their progress!

What We’re Looking For:

Must be at least 19 years old upon application.

• At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in teaching or playing pickleball or tennis is preferred but not required.
• Certification (USPTA/PTR) is preferred but not mandatory.
• A passion for working with children and effective classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
• Must have reliable transportation (own car and valid driver’s license).
• Willingness to undergo a background check and be fully vaccinated.

Locations & Schedule:

• Classes are held at various elementary schools across the Bay Area.
• Classes run for 1 - 1.5 hours, starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Work two or more days per week with a maximum of 2-5 hours weekly.
