Job summary

Greenfields, part of CareTech, is opening a new Children's Home in Gloucester for four young people. We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead a hands-on, safeguarding‑driven team and set the standard for care, education and therapy input in a stable, nurturing environment.

You will drive excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and demonstrate a track record with vulnerable children. A QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children’s Services or equivalent is

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead a team delivering high standards of care for children.
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to voice of the child.
  • Understanding of statutory/regulatory environment for registered Children’s Homes.
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and young people.
  • Willingness to start QCF Level 5 within six months of starting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a stable, motivated team to deliver high and consistent standards of care and support for our young people.
  • Ensure safeguarding of children and advocate for their voice to shine through everything we do.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the statutory and regulatory environment for registered Children’s Homes.
  • Work with vulnerable children and young people to support their growth and development.

About You

We are looking for a Manager to open our new Children's Home in Gloucester, a beautiful new development to become home to four young people who are making sense of adverse childhood experiences. All of the Greenfields team work together to create an environment where children grow and thrive in reaching their full potential, as they embark on a pathway to a brighter future.

  • You will lead a stable and motivated team to deliver high and consistent standards of care and support for our young people, ensuring they are kept safe, that you advocate strongly for them and their voice shines through everything we do.
  • You will need a real eye for detail - understanding that our absolute commitment to the Safeguarding of our children and young people and the Quality of our service are the top priorities.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the statutory and regulatory environment for registered Children’s Homes.
  • You will have a strong track record of successful working with vulnerable children and young people.
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children’s Services or equivalent, or be willing to start this within the first six months of starting.

What we Offer

Entry salary up to £52,500 per annum, depending on experience.

Welcome bonus £5,000 paid on successful registration.

£5,000 annual bonus for achieving budget and quality measures.
