Job summary

Summit Church in San Antonio seeks a Children’s Pastor to guide vision and programming for kids from infants through 5th grade, including weekend services, mid-week care, and special events.

You will partner with parents and the Kids Ministry Team to build a Biblical foundation, recruit volunteers, and collaborate with the Next Generations Coordinator on events like Kids Camp and VBS. Compensation is $45,000 yearly.

Qualifications

• Ministry degree preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of children’s ministry leadership preferred.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft 365, and Planning Center.
• Agreement with church vision and faith.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision, strategy, and programming for children from infants to 5th grade.
• Develop strategies to reach new children and families via social media and marketing.
• Lead and train Kids Ministry staff and volunteers.
• Communicate events and activities to parents and Summit Staff.
• Collaborate with Next Generations Coordinator on Elementary Ministry Events (Kids Camp, VBS, Chosen Kids, Christmas).
• Oversee ministry resources and approve purchases; observe and analyze team effectiveness.
• Attend ministry meetings and trainings.
