The Children’s Minister at First Baptist Arlington will lead elementary ministry and partner with families to disciple children from Kindergarten through 5th grade. You will develop strategy, recruit and mentor volunteers, and align programs with the church’s discipleship pathway.
You will collaborate with staff to create safe, hospitable environments that teach Biblical truth, foster spiritual growth, and connect children and families to a vibrant faith formation pathway.

The church values spiritual depth, authentic relationships, and creating environments where children are known, loved, and discipled.The Children’s Minister will provide leadership and vision for the spiritual formation of elementary-age children (Kindergarten through 5th Grade) and their families. This leader will build upon a strong ministry foundation while helping the church thoughtfully move forward, equipping volunteers, supporting parents as primary disciplers, and creating pathways for children to be Saved, Shepherded, Shaped, and Sent. Success in this role will be measured through trusted relationships, healthy ministry systems, volunteer development, and meaningful spiritual growth among children and families.

Brings the maturity, leadership experience, and organizational ability necessary to lead a healthy ministry with an established foundation. Able to honor the church’s legacy while thoughtfully guiding future growth and development.
Views parents as the primary disciplers of their children and is passionate about equipping families to cultivate faith in the home. Creates ministry environments that strengthen both children and parents.
Demonstrates a proven ability to recruit, train, encourage, and empower volunteers. Builds healthy ministry teams that create sustainable and effective discipleship environments.
Leads children and families through the church’s discipleship pathway of Saved, Shepherded, Shaped, and Sent. Creates engaging and biblically grounded environments that foster long-term spiritual growth.
Connects quickly with children, parents, volunteers, and staff. Creates a culture where families feel welcomed, valued, supported, and cared for.
The Children’s Minister will serve as a key member of the Formation Team and provide oversight for all elementary-age ministry environments, programs, and events. This role carries responsibility for developing ministry strategy, strengthening family discipleship, leading volunteer teams, and ensuring ministry environments reflect excellence, hospitality, safety, and theological alignment with the mission of the church.
