People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a Children’s Mental Health Practitioner in New Hope, MN. This in-school and community-based role will plan and lead daily CTSS skills, work with clients and families, and coordinate with therapists and school staff to deliver individualized care.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with standard hours 7:30–4:00, plus 1–2 days until 6:00 pm. Salary is hourly with a focus on trauma-informed, person-centered services and wide community

Qualifications

• Master's or graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related field.
• Experience providing mental health services preferred but not required for all qualifying paths.

Job Details: Job Location: BOONE AVE MENTAL HEALTH CENTER - NEW HOPE, MN 55428, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $22.50 - $23.76 Hourly, We are seeking a Children’s Mental Health Practitioner to provide in-school and community based services. The Children's Mental Health Practitioner is Responsible for planning and leading daily Children’s Therapeutic Support Services (CTSS) skills.

The Children’s Mental Health Practitioner will lead both individual and group skill sessions, complete timely documentation, and deliver an individualized plan of care consistent with the client goals and objectives from their individualized treatment plan. Will work in conjunction with the client’s therapists, school supports, families, and community supports in the development and delivery of services. Will use a trauma informed and person-centered approach to service provision.

Schedule: Monday - Friday; Standard hours are 7:30 - 4:00pm; Will include 1 to 2 days per week being 9:30 to 6:00pm

Locations: Meadow Lake Elementary School, New Hope Mental Health Clinic and community based work

Hiring Range: $22.50-$23.76

Main Job Duties

• Using and modeling person-centered principles, actively engage clients in their mental health recovery, and develop and maintain appropriate relationships that support the client in meeting their individual goals.
• Partner with therapists and school staff in carrying out the activities in support of goals identified in client’s individual treatment plan.
• Actively participate in all team meetings, case consultations meetings, and agency trainings sharing relevant developments and/or expertise with other team members and advancing the reputation of services provided.
• Facilitate and conduct individual and group CTSS skills services that address a variety of needs and health concerns for the client.

Qualifications

An individual is qualified as a mental health practitioner in at least one of the ways described in paragraph belowthrough relevant coursework if the individual completes at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related fields and:has at least 2,000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with:A mental illness or a substance use disorder ORA traumatic brain injury or a developmental disability, and completes the additional training described in section 245I.05, subdivision 3, paragraph (c), before providing direct contact services to a clientIs fluent in the non-English language of the ethnic group to which at least 50 percent of the individual's clients belong and completes the additional training described in section 245I.05, subdivision 3, paragraph (c), before providing direct contact services to a client;Is working in a day treatment program under section 256B.0671, subdivision 3, or 256B.0943; orHas completed a practicum or internship that (i) required direct interaction with adult clients or child clients, and (ii) was focused on behavioral sciences or related fields.An individual is qualified as a mental health practitioner through work experience if the individual:has at least 4,000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to individuals with:receives treatment supervision at least once per week until meeting the requirement in clause (1) of 4,000 hours of experience and has at least 2,000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with:
