Job summary

The Debbie Allen Dance Academy in Los Angeles is seeking a Winter Semester Teaching Assistant for the Early Bird Program. You will assist instructors, help manage the studio, and support student activities, helping create a safe, welcoming environment for young dancers.

Ideal candidates are reliable and energetic, with strong communication and leadership skills, able to work Saturdays 7:30 AM - 1:45 PM and potentially weekday evenings. Compensation is $18.42 per hour.

Qualifications

• Excellent with children Ages 3-8 yrs old.
• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong ability to command a room
• Use kid-friendly language
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possession of a current drivers license
• First Aid certification
• Previous teaching or assistant experience

Responsibilities

Position: Early Bird Program Teaching Assistant

Reports to: Academy Director & Early Bird Dean

The Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA) offers several focused internship

opportunities for students and young professionals seeking experience in the arts and

arts administration. We are searching for charismatic, driven and responsible Teaching

Assistants to assist in the dance studio as well as with general administrative

responsibilities.
