Job summary

East Bank Club in Chicago seeks a CAC/YAC Attendant to supervise and engage children in a safe, supervised environment while members enjoy club services.

This entry-level, part-time role offers split shifts and an hourly rate of $20.00. CPR/First Aid certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire; on-site work; strong customer service and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the USA; E-Verify used.
• Experience working with children required.
• Experience in childcare or education preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding customer service skills required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Occasional evening availability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise children to ensure safety at all times.
• Lead activities such as crafts, story-time, and songs as directed.
• Change diapers and assist children in the washroom.
• Greet members and report activities and incidents at pickup.
• Maintain cleanliness of CAC & YAC areas and sanitise surfaces.
• Schedule reservations, check-in/out, and cancellations as needed.
• Create weekly engaging activities for children.
• Add notes to member accounts and file incident reports within 24 hours.
• Attend training meetings including CPR and First Aid.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

The CAC/YAC Attendant provides peace of mind to our members by ensuring that their children have fun in a safe and supervised environment during their visit, while they enjoy East Bank Club services.

Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour. This role is considered entry-level.

Part-time Split Shift Schedules:

Monday: 8:30am-1:00pm and 2:00-7:00pm
Tuesday: off
Wednesday: off
Thursday: off
Friday: off
Saturday: off
Sunday: 8:00am-1:00pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and observe children at all times to ensure their safety.
• Implement and lead children’s activities, including simple crafts, story-time, and sing‑alongs as assigned by the manager or team leader.
• Change diapers as necessary and assist children in the washroom.
• Greet members upon entry and communicate child’s activities and incidents upon pickup.
• Maintain cleanliness of CAC & YAC, including washing and disinfecting tables, toys, games, supplies, etc.
• Accurately schedule reservations, check members in and out, and complete cancellations as necessary.
• Create engaging activities for children on a weekly basis.
• Add relevant notes to member accounts and complete incident reports within 24 hours.
• Attend Children’s Programs meetings and all other mandatory training, including CPR and First Aid.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

• Experience in childcare or a background in education is preferred.
• Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and being able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to provide outstanding customer service skills.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, kneel, and stand for sustained time periods.
• Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Occasional evening availability.
