The Learning Experience Greenville is opening a brand-new childcare center in Greenville, South Carolina, and seeks an experienced Center Director to build and lead the school from the ground up. You will recruit and develop a high-performance team, establish a positive culture, and welcome the first families.

You will drive enrollment, ensure licensing compliance, and uphold high-quality early childhood education using LEAP Curriculum, while partnering with ownership and support teams to meet

• 2+ years of leadership or management experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Meet South Carolina childcare licensing requirements to serve as a Center Director.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education, licensing, health & safety, and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Experience recruiting, coaching, and developing teachers.
• Experience supporting enrollment growth and building strong family relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead your team by recruiting, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing center staff.
• Oversee daily center operations and ensure licensing compliance, health and safety standards, and operational readiness.
• Drive enrollment growth, family relationships, community outreach, and partnerships in Greenville.
• Support curriculum and educational quality, aligning with LEAP Curriculum and SC requirements.

About the Opportunity

The Learning Experience is opening a brand-new childcare center in Greenville, South Carolina, and we're seeking an experienced Child Care Center Director to build and lead our school from the ground up.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on early childhood leader who wants to build a team, establish a positive school culture, welcome the first families, drive enrollment, and create an exceptional experience for children, teachers, and families from day one.

What You'll Do

Build & Lead Your Team

• Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and develop teachers and center leadership.
• Build a positive, collaborative culture focused on engagement and retention.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching, feedback, and professional development.
• Develop staffing plans that meet enrollment needs and required teacher‑to‑child ratios.

Lead Center Operations

• Oversee daily childcare center operations.
• Ensure compliance with South Carolina childcare licensing, health and safety requirements, and company standards.
• Maintain appropriate staffing, classroom ratios, documentation, and operational readiness.
• Partner with ownership and TLE support teams to achieve center goals.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, high‑quality environment for children, families, and staff.

Grow Enrollment & Family Relationships

• Conduct center tours and convert prospective families into enrollments.
• Build strong relationships with current and prospective families.
• Support community outreach, marketing events, and local partnerships in Greenville.
• Drive enrollment growth, family retention, and customer satisfaction.

Support Curriculum & Educational Quality

• Champion The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P.® Curriculum.
• Maintain high standards for classroom quality and early childhood education.
• Support teachers in creating safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate classrooms.
• Ensure curriculum and practices align with TLE standards and South Carolina requirements.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of leadership or management experience in a licensed childcare center, preschool, daycare, or early childhood education program preferred.
• Previous experience as a Center Director, Assistant Director, Education Director, Program Director, or similar leadership role.
• Must meet South Carolina childcare licensing requirements to serve as a Center Director.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education, licensing, health and safety, and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Experience recruiting, coaching, and developing teachers.
• Experience supporting enrollment growth and building strong family relationships.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to successfully lead a center through pre‑opening, licensing, enrollment growth, and ongoing operations.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business, or a related field preferred.
