Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and flexible individual to join our team as a Childcare Center Chef with additional duties as an On-Call Bus Driver. This hybrid role is ideal for someone passionate about nutrition and child safety, and who thrives in a fast-paced childcare environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks that meet all state nutritional guidelines, and for safely transporting children to and from the center as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

As Chef:

  1. Plan and prepare healthy, well-balanced meals and snacks in accordance with state nutritional guidelines and any dietary restrictions or allergies.
  2. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen that complies with health and safety regulations.
  3. Track food inventory, place orders, and ensure proper food storage.
  4. Follow established menus and adapt when necessary based on available ingredients or child needs.
  5. Maintain accurate records of meals served and food safety logs.

As On-Call Bus Driver:

  1. Safely operate a center vehicle to transport children to and from the center, field trips, or school as needed.
  2. Conduct daily safety checks of the vehicle before use.
  3. Follow established routes and schedules.
  4. Ensure the safety of all children during transport, following all state and local traffic regulations.
  5. Maintain required vehicle and driving records.
