Child Development Schools, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Teacher in Wilmington, North Carolina to help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, and joy.

You will support the Lead Teacher with age-appropriate lessons, safe routines, and warm, nurturing interactions that encourage curiosity and growth. In this full-time role you will engage with children during activities, meals, and outdoor time, document progress, and communicate with families.

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports

Assistant Teacher -- Wilmington, North Carolina

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom

Pay And Benefits

Pay: 13-15 per hour, based on experience and education.
