Job summary

Child Development Schools in High Point, North Carolina seeks an Assistant Teacher to join its nurturing classroom. You will support the Lead Teacher, deliver age-appropriate activities, and help create a warm environment where children feel safe, curious, and excited to learn.

Together with families and the teaching team, you will document progress, support routines, and contribute to positive daily experiences.

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.

Assistant Teacher -- High Point, North Carolina

As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom

Pay And Benefits

Pay: 13-15 per hour, based on experience and education.
