Job summary

The University of Alaska's UAA Child Welfare Academy seeks a Trainer to lead training on best practices in child welfare, including family engagement, risk, safety assessment, and case planning. You will work with diverse partners in the child welfare system and the legal arena to develop and deliver modules.

The role requires independence in a complex statewide organization, knowledge of federal and state child welfare laws, NASW ethics, and ability to evaluate training effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with two years of child welfare experience.
• Ability to work with high-stakes, political environments in child protection.
• Experience developing and delivering training programs for the workforce.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training modules for the workforce.
• Assess training effectiveness and adjust programs accordingly.
• Coordinate with OCS personnel and child welfare partners.
• Stay current with federal/state child welfare laws and regulations.
