Job summary

Orange County Government, through the Department of Social Services, seeks a Community Social Services Technician in the Child Welfare division to assist and intervene for adults, children, and families. The role includes transportation support and data entry, plus administrative duties, with independence and teamwork expected.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organization, and computer skills, and will operate under supervision with some independent judgment.

Qualifications

• Possession of a High School or GED test equivalency.
• One year of work experience in human services.
• Safety sensitive position and participation in the Drug and Alcohol Program is required.
• SBI background check with fingerprinting is required.
• Employment may require pre-employment drug testing and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Assist and provide intervention to individuals including adults, children and families.
• Provide transportation and support individuals served in Child Welfare programs.
• Perform data entry and other administrative duties.
• Work independently and in a team setting.
