POSITION SUMMARY:Provide direct supervision of children in a group setting. Provide a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Other department duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Safely supervise a group of children ages six weeks to nine years of age.Implement program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA core values.Adhere to program standards including safety and cleanliness.Maintain positive relationship with parents and other staff.Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.Attend all staff meetings and in-service training.YMCA COMPETENCIES (Leader):Mission Advancement: Accepts and demonstrates the Y’s values.
