About the Role:

The Child Psychiatrist will provide specialized mental health care to children and adolescents, addressing a wide range of psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders. This role involves conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each child. The psychiatrist will collaborate closely with families, schools, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment and support. Additionally, the role includes supervising clinical staff and leading therapeutic interventions such as group and family therapy sessions. Ultimately, the Child Psychiatrist aims to improve the mental well‑being and developmental outcomes of young patients through evidence-based practices and compassionate care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of a residency in psychiatry.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in the United States.
  • Experience in mental health counseling and clinical supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and behavioral health principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family systems therapy.
  • Familiarity with group therapy facilitation and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
  • Additional training or certification in child psychology or developmental disorders.
  • Experience working in diverse clinical settings including outpatient and inpatient care.
  • Research experience or involvement in clinical trials related to child psychiatry.
