Job summary

Operation Food Search in Overland, MO seeks a Child Nutrition Program Coordinator to manage Operation Backpack, AfterSchool Meals, and Summer Meals, coordinating with school partners and volunteers to deliver nutritious programs.

You will oversee daily operations, maintain records, and collaborate with internal teams to purchase food within budget while ensuring nutrition standards and program timelines are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, nutrition, social work, or related field.
• Two years relevant work experience in community-based programs, program planning, or hunger-relief efforts highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Operation Backpack operation, administration, and implementation.
• Assist with AfterSchool Meals and Summer Meals program duties.
• Develop weekly menus for Operation Backpack and maintain nutrition standards.
• Track program records and inventory for Operation Backpack.
• Collaborate with Nutrition Access Manager and program partners to purchase food within budget.
• Schedule and staff distribution events with community partners.
• Monitor USDA compliance and collect feedback to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Support development of new programs like Satellite, Food Closet, and Fresh Pop-Ups.
