Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements programming that promotes optimal development for children in the healthcare setting and supports family members.
• Promotes, advertises, and speaks to Child Life Zone services to patients, families, and staff.
• Implements planned and purposeful play activities/interventions based on the child’s age and developmental level.
• Documents interactions with patients and families per department policy.
• Supervises and orients Child Life volunteers; coordinates with student programming.
• Demonstrates competence to provide age-appropriate patient care and pursues ongoing professional development.
