Job summary

Kaleida Health's Golisano Children's Hospital is seeking a Child Life Specialist to provide psychosocial, emotional, and developmental support to patients from infants to young adults and their families. This is a temporary, onsite role with daytime hours.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Child Life, have completed an internship, and be eligible for Child Life Certification within two years. Office software skills and healthcare experience are preferred.

Education And CredentialsBachelor's degree in Child Life or meets the educational requirements to apply for Child Life Professional Certification required. Completion of a internship as meets the requirements for a Child Life Certification by the Child Life Council required. ExperienceAbility to effectively utilize web-based programs to perform essential functions of position including but not limited to MicroSoft Office Products i.e. Word, Excel & Power Point. Experience in a health care and/or childcare setting. Training in Death, Dying, and Bereavement preferred. Must be certified under the specifications for Child Life Certification by the Child Life Council within two years of employment required.**Only applicants who already have the competencies to fill the position and who can fill the position without training will be considered.**Working ConditionsEssential:
