Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development or related field and certification as a Child Life Specialist or eligibility to sit for the exam; a Master's degree and one year of experience are preferred.

The Child Life Specialist Provides evaluation, therapeutic play, preparation, procedural support, special events and reintegration programming. The Child Life Specialist is responsible to work with children, from infancy through adolescence, in a family centered care environment. This position provides services in an outpatient setting. The Specialist utilizes these practices in an effort to facilitate coping techniques and promote normal growth and development of the patient and family.
The pay range for this position is $19.76 - $29.65. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
