Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient play and activity needs via daily reports, consultations, and team collaboration.
• Develop and facilitate developmentally appropriate play programs and events for patients of all ages.
• Create welcoming, safe activity areas that encourage self-expression and family involvement.
• Plan weekly and monthly calendars of activities and events.
• Provide bedside toys and activities based on patient needs and referrals.
• Respond to activity consults and referrals within established time frames.
• Collaborate with the team to set individualized patient care goals through play.
• Maintain inventory, monitor purchases, and support budget adherence.
• Ensure activity areas and materials are clean, safe, and infection-control compliant.
• Train and supervise volunteers to support safe patient activities.
• Coordinate with Volunteer Services to support volunteer satisfaction and participation.
• Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities.
