Job summary

Butterfly Effects is seeking part-time Registered Behavior Technicians to work with children with autism, implementing ABA-based plans and supporting skill development. The role emphasizes collaboration with families, data collection, and adherence to treatment protocols.

Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation is required to commute to client homes or locations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
  • Observe and document client progress and behavior daily.
  • Help manage challenging behaviors and support skill acquisition.
  • Maintain professional communication with families and team members.
  • Complete daily paperwork and data entry in the online system.
  • Participate in ongoing training and adhere to BE policies.

What Do You Bring to the Role?
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.
  • Passion for Children: A genuine love for working with children.
  • Positive Attitude: Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
  • Experience: Prior experience with children is advantageous.
  • Continuous Learning: Interest in ongoing development.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
  • Background: Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.
What Would You Be Doing?
  • Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
  • Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
  • Manages challenging behaviors.
  • Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
  • Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
  • Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
  • Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
  • Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client information.
  • Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
