Job summary

Sagent Behavioral Health is hiring a Child Focused Therapist for an outpatient program in Brooklyn Center, MN. The role supports children, adolescents, and their families with evidence-based therapy in a hybrid or in-person setting.

Flexible full-time or part-time options and manageable caseloads are provided to promote work-life balance. Requirements include a master’s degree in a behavioral science, and MN licensure or licensure track (LMFT/LPCC/LICSW/LP).

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
  • Candidates will have clinical licensure or be on licensure track for: MN LMFT, LPCC, LICSW, LP.
  • Experience completing diagnostic assessments, treatment plans and clinical case notes with professional boundaries.
  • Experience with DC:0-5, ECSII/CASII, SDQ assessments preferred.
  • Knowledge of developmental principles and the intersection between normative child development and psychopathology in the diagnosis and treatment of children/families.
  • Proficient in the use of Office 365 and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create, implement and maintain treatment plans and complete ongoing documentation.
  • Provide individual and family therapy to minor clients and their parents/guardians.
  • Active participation and responsibility in building, growing, and maintaining caseload to meet agreed upon weekly billable expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external providers including medical, psychological, and educational partners to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care for clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in your community utilizing creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals.
  • Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and trainings.

As a Child Focused Therapist at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic services that help improve the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, and their families in an outpatient setting. Drawing on your clinical training and experience, you will deliver individualized and family therapy using developmentally appropriate, client-centered approaches tailored to each client's unique needs. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering resilience, supporting mental wellness, and improving quality of life through clinical excellence, collaboration, and exceptional client care.

  • Experience completing diagnostic assessments, treatment plans and clinical case notes with the ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients.
  • Experience with DC:0-5, ECSII/CASII, SDQ assessments, preferred.
  • Knowledge of developmental principles and awareness of the intersection between normative child development and psychopathology in the diagnosis and treatment of children/families
  • Proficient in the use of Office 365 and EHR systems.
Compensation

We offer two pay options to meet your professional and financial goals! We have an option with a predictable base pay and another with flexible earning potential.

Rate Based Pay Model
  • Licensed: $ 68,000 – 75,000
  • Pre-licensed: $ 50,000 - 55,000
Commission Based Pay Model
  • Licensed: $ 66,000 – 124,000
  • Pre-licensed: $ 58,000 - 91,000
  • Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as education, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location.
  • Employees in these positions are W2.
