Job summary

  • Support families in setting and tracking meaningful goals through the Family Partnership Agreement process.

About the role:

This position provides families and students with development information and services to ensure success for individual student's needs. Delivers comprehensive programs and provides training and support to propel students, parents, and families to be effective in meeting their goals and promoting the overall wellbeing and education of the student and the family.

What this Role involves
  • Implement a high quality, strengths based, School Family Engagement program by:
    • Creating a warm and welcoming school environment by building positive, and responsive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.
    • Engaging families in their children's education as their children's first and most important teachers and as important decision makers in school programming.
    • Providing families with high-quality community resources, effective case management, and crisis intervention services to support family stability, health and wellness, and empowerment.
  • Orient families to Clayton through intentional enrollment and transition meetings designed to build trusting relationships, collect accurate family information, and share important school and classroom information.
  • Involve families as partners in conducting ongoing student assessments sharing results in real time to develop strategies for student support; Refer students with possible delays for further developmental and/or health screenings and support in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with health service staff to monitor compliance with health requirements; guide families in the acquisition and use of medical, dental, vision, and mental health services
  • Support families in setting, tracking, and achieving meaningful family goals through the Family Partnership Agreement process, referring families to high-quality services in the community and problem-solving barriers to success.
  • Organize, plan, and support family participation in classroom and school activities and events by tailoring invitations to meet family interests and needs and by supporting event logistics.
  • Partner with classroom teachers and school support staff to individualize services for students and families through consistent communication with classrooms, Classroom Connection meetings, and classroom coverage/support as needed.
  • Partner with families and school staff to ensure that student attendance is 85% or better.
  • Ensure that families sign in and out of the school on a daily basis and support families with the CCAP redetermination process.
  • Assist with program recruitment events and activities.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner to meet local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes, referrals, and Family Partnership Agreement updates in COPA.
What we are looking for

Education: Bachelor's degree in social work, Human and Family Development, Psychology Early Childhood Education, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 1-3+ years of experience in this field or a related field.

Skills: Knowledge of the culture, including food preferences, and conditions inherent within the surrounding community. Experience in relating to small children and interacting with parents and others who represent various backgrounds, Training or experience in working as a functional member of a team.

Certifications or Licenses

  • CPR Certification

  • Universal Precautions Certification
  • Valid driver's license with evidence of auto insurance
Background Check:

Must be able to pass a background check, including CBI/FBI fingerprinting, motor vehicle/driving record (MVR), CO state child abuse and neglect registry check, a national sex offender registry check, and reference checks.

Compensation:

$24.00 to $26.00 an hour
