Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking Child Development Specialists to deliver early intervention services to infants and toddlers in their homes and community settings across California. This role focuses on family-centered coaching and development planning through IFSP guidance.

We offer competitive hourly rates, a sign-on bonus up to $500, and flexible schedules/locations. Medical benefits are available to part-time employees, supporting work-life balance across our California programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred/required (Orange County only) in child development, early childhood, teaching or related field OR a special education teaching credential
• Early Intervention Experience Preferred
• Home-Based Service Delivery Experience Preferred
• Strong Interpersonal Skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide child development services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s IFSP and collaborate with families to reach developmental goals
• Use family-centered parent coaching to build caregiver confidence and skills and generalize progress
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (homes, daycare centers, community settings)
• Perform re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual typically)
• Maintain confidentiality of information in line with HIPAA and state/federal regulations

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multi-disciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

We are looking to grow our team of Child Development Specialists in your area!

Job Responsibilities:
