Job summary

Mental Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Childcare Specialist in Oceanside, CA to provide child development services for children of program participants. You will ensure safety, supervise activities, and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, recording daily activities, and helping with center operations while keeping information confidential. Requires High School Diploma or GED, CA driver’s license, TB test, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid California driver's license and current auto insurance per contract requirements.
• TB test for substance use disorder program within stated timelines and CPR/First Aid certification on hire or within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Always ensure the safety and supervision of the children.
• Provide positive behavior guidance that supports developmental, social-emotional, and physical needs of all children.
• Record and monitor the daily activities of children at the development center.
• Create and deliver lesson plans, implement school curriculum, and assess developmental needs of students.
• Aid in general operation of the child development center including organization and cleanliness, errands, office supplies inventory, ordering, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain confidentiality of client’s care.
• Participate in scheduled program meetings.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
