ChatterNola, LLC in Metairie, LA is seeking a Pediatric Autism Therapy Technician to support 1:1 ABA-based therapy with young children under BCBA supervision. This role focuses on developmentally appropriate, play-based therapy to build communication, social, and daily living skills.

Ideal candidates are available weekdays, comfortable on the floor, and eager to learn Natural Environment Teaching and ABA techniques.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working with young children with autism and developmental delays.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in any setting (childcare, preschool, tutoring, camp, therapy, caregiving).
• Comfortable engaging in play-based therapy, sitting on the floor, singing, moving, and following the child’s lead.
• Willingness to learn Natural Environment Teaching, developmental strategies, and ABA-based intervention.
• Ability to receive real-time feedback, coaching, and modeling during sessions.
• Reliable attendance, professional communication, and consistent follow-through.
• BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to pass required background checks.

About The Role

ChatterNola is hiring a Pediatric Autism Therapy Technician in the Metairie area.

This is a great opportunity for someone pursuing speech-language pathology, psychology, special education, occupational therapy, early childhood education, social work, or behavior analysis.

We are looking for someone who is playful, dependable, compassionate, coachable, and comfortable working hands-on with young children in a pediatric therapy clinic.

In this role, you will help children build communication, play, social, and daily living skills through developmentally appropriate, play-based therapy.

Ideal candidates are available Monday–Friday during daytime hours and seek meaningful clinical experience with young children.

Note:

This role prioritizes regulation, coachability, and consistency over credentials alone.

SCHEDULE & WORK EXPECTATIONS (PLEASE READ)

• Clinic-based only
• Schedule Options (Clinic-Based): Schedules are consistent once assigned.
• Preference given to candidates who can commit to a stable block.
• Morning Block: 8:30 AM–12:30 PM
• Full Day: 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, 8:30 AM -2:30 PM, 10:30 AM, 4:30 PM
• Afternoon Block: 12:30 PM–4:30 PM

Preferred Qualifications

• RBT certification
• 1–2+ years of experience working with young children
• Experience with autism, early intervention, ABA, speech therapy, special education, or developmental delays
• Familiarity with play-based, NET, ESDM, JASPER, or other developmental approaches
• Experience following a treatment plan and collecting data
