New Canaan YMCA's Rainbow Station program seeks enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to join a nurturing team serving infants and preschoolers in New Canaan, CT. You will work alongside experienced Lead Teachers to foster holistic child development across social, physical, emotional, and cognitive domains.

Open Monday–Friday, with shifts including morning, afternoon, and full-day options; rotating assignments encouraged.

Rainbow Station, the Infant and Preschool program at the New Canaan YMCA is looking to for ASSISTANT TEACHERS who are enthusiastic, energetic and nurturing candidates to join our team.

In partnership with our incredibly experienced LEAD TEACHERS, our Assistant Teachers work to provide a program which fosters children's social, physical, emotional and cognitive growth. Our childcare classes participate with other YMCA programming departments/staff, including professional swim instruction, Bouncing Bears gymnastic time, music classes and more, all within the regular weekly schedule.

We offer small classrooms, divided into yearly age brackets - allowing candidates to indicate their preference for working with infants (6 week to a year), Toddlers (1s or 2s), or Preschool (3s or 4s) - or to be \"floaters\" across classrooms.

Our center is open Mondays through Fridays, from 7:30am to 6pm - and we'd like to hear about your availability and interest in:

• Morning Shift (7:15 am - 2:30 pm)
• Afternoon Shift (11 am - 6 pm)
• Full-Day Shifts (7:15 am - 6 pm)
• ability to rotate different shifts

Full time staff are eligible for PTO, paid holidays (including time off at the winter holidays), and guaranteed free weekends. Benefits include medical insurance (covered at 90%!), dental insurance, vision insurance, disability insurance, free YMCA membership, and discounts on prorgramming.
