Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Credentials EDU 119 or equivalent as defined by DHHS Education Workforce, preferred.
• CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire is required.
• ITS SIDS within 2 months of hire is required.
• BSAC (Basic School Age) for school age children is required.
• DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background letter is required.
• CDL license (if driving buses) and working with school age children.
• Maintain training hours requirements as outlined by the Division of Child Development.

  • Credentials EDU 119 or equilvency as defined by DHHS Education Workforce, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NC CDL License, preferred.
  • Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire, required.
  • ITS SIDS within 2 months of hire, required.
  • BSAC (Basic School Age) for those working with school age children, required.
  • DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background letter, required.
• Additional Skills (required):
  • NC Division of Child Development Qualifying Letter/Criminal Background letter.
  • NC Division of Child Development Workforce letter within 2 months of hire.
  • NC Institute for Child Development Professional ECE Certification within 2 months of hire.
  • CDL license (if hired for driving buses) and working with school age children.
  • Maintain training hours requirements as outlined by the Division of Child Development.
• Additional Skills (preferred):
  • The ability to work a variety of work schedules and to work effectively in all classrooms within the centers.
