Location & Schedule

Bright Horizons at USAA is now hiring in Tampa, FL. Full‑time positions available with infants. Schedule: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is between $16.10 and $21.70 per hour, adjusted for education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Create hands‑on activities that meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child’s daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Related college‑level early education coursework or CDA is required.
• Preferred: one year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings.
• Preferred: associate or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required.
• Background check through Florida Care Provider Clearinghouse Background Screening (https://crw.flclearinghouse.com/).

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10 to 40 pounds; occasionally more than 40 pounds.
• Demonstrate full range of motion (lift, reach, squat, climb, sit).
• Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies.
• Maintain mental and physical alertness and appropriate energy level to perform essential job requirements.
