Bright Horizons in Renton, WA is hiring a full-time Teacher to create hands-on activities, communicate daily milestones to families, and maintain a safe classroom according to procedures. This role supports child development and safety in a busy early education setting.

The position requires background checks, a minimum high school diploma, and ideally CDA/ECE coursework with 1 year of teaching experience. In-person work in Renton, WA is expected.

Qualifications

• Candidates must pass state and company background checks and meet minimum education and experience requirements.
• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required.
• College-level coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or an associate or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred.
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, or hold children with a range of weight from 10 to 40 pounds; occasionally lift, carry, or hold weight more than 40 pounds

The hourly rate this position is between $24.75 - $30.20 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Also, depending on hire date and subject to applicable eligibility requirements and accrual schedules, new employees in this role receive up to: 9 paid holidays annually; 40 hours of sick time per year based on full-time schedule, and 64 hours of vacation time per year based on full-time schedule (vacation time may be used for sick leave purposes under any applicable state or local sick or safe time law).
