Job summary

Easterseals Joliet Region seeks a creative, fun, energetic, and patient teacher to join our child care team on a part-time basis, afternoons to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. The role emphasizes nurturing a safe, engaging classroom and building strong relationships with families.

The ideal candidate will meet DCFS licensing standards, have at least one year of experience with preschool-age children, and bring enthusiasm for guiding children through developmental activities and organized

Qualifications

• Must meet DCFS licensing standards for preschool teachers (60 credit hours from an accredited college or university related to child care and/or child development).
• At least one year of experience working with children ages birth to five.

Responsibilities

• Employ storytelling and educational play to teach children.
• Guide children to develop artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.).
• Track children’s progress and report to parents.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Easterseals Joliet Region seeks a creative, fun, energetic, and patient Full or Part-Timechild care teacherwho can bring their passion for working with children to the role. We are currently seeking a qualified part-time teacher who will work Monday - Friday, from the afternoon to the close (5:30pm).

Responsibilities

• Employ various educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children.
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
• Track children’s progress and report to parents
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Must meet DCFS licensing standards for preschool teachers (example: 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university related to child care and/or child development)
• At least one year of experience working with children ages birth to five
