The Child Care Teacher is responsible for overall executive functioning of the classroom through planning and providing educational opportunities to infant/pediatric age groups, developing routines for classroom management, and delegating tasks to staff assigned to their classroom. As the primary contact for parents, the Child Care Teacher should establish good rapport through positive methods of communication, and support parents by providing mutual care practices for children.
Directs Daily Educational Operations of the Classroom
Working Conditions: Child Care Center. Noisy/busy periods of time. Stressful situations at times. Must be on-site at the St. John\'s Health campus or other facilities to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Four to eight hours of the day spent standing and walking. Intermittent sitting, often on the floor with children. Must be able to move from sitting on floor to standing several times per day.

Internal & External Contacts: Parents/Families (who work in various departments in the hospital), All hospital departments, visitors, community agencies, sales representatives.
