Job summary

Bright Horizons in Burlington, NC is hiring a Teacher to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for toddlers and early preschoolers. You will work in person, delivering curriculum and supervising children in a safe classroom while collaborating with families and staff.

The role emphasizes education requirements, state checks, and a commitment to growth through the Horizons CDA & Degree Program, with potential CDA or college degree support at no cost.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required.
• College-level coursework in early childhood education (EDU-119, CDA) or an associate/bachelor’s degree required.
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) required.

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where coverage is needed across the center or nearby locations.
