Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking an on-call Substitute Teacher for the Tampa, Florida area. You will assist with classroom activities, support teachers, and help maintain a safe, engaging environment for children across age groups.

Responsibilities include communicating with families about daily milestones and providing coverage across centers as needed. Applicants must meet state and company background checks and education requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
  • Background checks required by state and company.

  • Maintain open communication with parents, sharing daily milestones.
  • Ensure a safe, clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide support in any classroom or age group where coverage is needed.

Education

High school diploma or GED
CDA/Associate/Bachelor in Early Education (preferred)
1 year child care experience preferred
