Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Substitute Teacher to join our on-call team in Pittsburgh. You will assist with activities, support teachers, and help maintain a safe classroom across centers in Northside, Southside, Oakland, and downtown locations.

Requirements include 18+ with a HS diploma or GED and state/company background checks. Preference for 2 years in child care and CDA/Associate/bachelor’s in early education. Competitive hourly pay and flexible scheduling offered.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • 2 years of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
  • CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones.
  • Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or in nearby locations.
