Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to monitor health and safety standards in a preschool setting in Mississippi.

The role requires ensuring daily hygiene practices, environmental safety checks, and timely reporting of concerns. The candidate should hold an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with at least two years of preschool teaching experience, and demonstrate strong communication skills with parents and staff while supporting

Qualifications

• Minimum educational requirement: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related area with at least six courses in infant/toddler development.
• Two years of preschool classroom experience with ability to adapt curriculum for diverse populations.
• Strong oral and written communication with parents and staff, and ability to relate to clients from diverse populations.
• Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Observe children daily for health concerns and report concerns to the EHS Director and record in manual records.
• Adhere to cleaning and disinfecting guidelines for health and safety of children and providers.
• Provide for daily hand-washing and tooth-brushing per established hygiene procedures.
• Before children’s arrival, visually inspect the classroom for safety features and report any concerns to the EHS Director.
• Assist with daily playground walk-throughs prior to outdoor activities in the absence of custodial staff.

Observe children daily for health concerns to include signs of child abuse or neglect; report concerns immediately to EHS Director and record, as appropriate, in manual records.Adhere to cleaning and disinfecting guidelines for health and safety of both children and providers in accordance with procedures set forth in operational manual.Provide for daily hand-washing and tooth-brushing in accordance with established hygiene procedures.Prior to children’s arrival, conduct visual inspection of classroom to assure at a minimum, emergency lighting is in good working order, electrical outlets are covered and that equipment and materials present no safety threat to human life; report concerns immediately to EHS Director.Assure daily walk-through of playground areas is conducted prior to children’s outdoor activities in the absence of custodial staff.A minimum educational requirement of Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or arelated area that includes a minimum of six (6) classes focusing on infant/toddler development.Two years experience in preschool classroom with ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all childrenincluding at-risk, special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse populations.Oral and written communication skills which facilitate and support positive feedback from parents and between staff at all operational levels. Ability to relate to clients from diverse populations.Strong computer skills to include spreadsheets, databases, presentation and word processing.
