Job summary

The Red Barn Child Care Center & Preschool, LLC in Clarksville, TN is seeking a Closing Child Care Floater/HERO to support educators and daily operations. Flexible part-time shifts include 12:00PM-6:15PM, 1:00 or 2:00-6:15PM, or 3:00-6:15PM, ideal for students or those seeking part-time work.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, supervising children, helping with meals and diapering, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with children is a plus; training provided.
• Effective communication with children, parents, educators, and staff.
• Friendly and patient demeanor.
• Background check, drug screening, physical, and 3 professional references required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

• Supervise and engage with children during playtime, rest time, outdoor activities, and routines.
• Assist with meal times, rest times, diapering, and potty training.

About the Role:

The Red Barn Child Care Center & Preschool is seeking a Closing Child Care Floater/HERO to join our team in Clarksville, TN. Most flexible positions in our field are referred to as floaters but we are changing the position to HERO (Helps Every Room Out). These candidates are crucial to our daily operations and support of our Educators. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a nurturing and supportive environment where you can make a difference in the lives of children.

Shift examples: 12:00PM-6:15PM; 1:00 or 2:00-6:15PM; 3:00-6:15 PM (Great for college students or someone looknig for part time work)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is a plus but training is provided
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, educators, and administration
• Possess a friendly and patient demeanor
• Must pass background check, drug screening, physical and provide 3 professional references
• Have CPR/first aid certification or be willing to obtain in first 90 days
