Job summary

Keene Young Mens, in partnership with the YMCA, is seeking a dedicated childcare staffer in Keene, NH to support youth development and family engagement. You will supervise activities, build relationships with children and parents, maintain the classroom and equipment, and help implement curriculum.

Required: must be 18+, CPR/First Aid/AED and child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire, plus 1 year of experience in a developmental setting.

Qualifications

  • Meets educational and experience qualifications established by childcare licensing.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire.
  • Health form completed within 30 days of hire; at least 1 year of experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Builds personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests.
  • Helps with implementing curriculum within the established guidelines.
  • You must be dependable and build consistency and stability in the classroom for the children in your care.
  • Helps with supervising the children, classroom, and activities at all times.
  • Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
  • Maintains program site and equipment.
  • Helps with keeping required program records.
  • Attends and takes part in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training (18 hours per year).
  • Fulfills any functions appointed by the YMCA administration.

Salary Information

$12.57 - $18.85Hourly Wage
