Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Clarence, NY is hiring for a full-time early childhood educator. No evenings or weekends. Pay is $18.50–$20.50 per hour.

You will supervise ages 6 weeks to 12 years, create developmentally appropriate curriculum, and partner with families to support children’s learning. Requirements: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA, or 12 ECE credits; 2+ years in licensed child care preferred; strong customer service and organization.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR CDA credential OR 12 credits in ECE courses required
• 2+ years in licensed child care facility preferred
• Strong customer service skills and organizational ability
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles
• Maintain a warm, safe and clean environment for growth and exploration
• Partner with families to create plans for child care and education
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred
