Job summary

KH Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Child Care Lawyer in Kent. The role requires a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with Children Panel Accreditation and strong advocacy to handle a varied child care caseload, including court appearances.

The successful candidate will work within a busy Family Department, managing meetings with social services and drafting key documents, with opportunities for High Court advocacy in London.

Qualifications

• Children Panel Accreditation required.
• Strong advocacy and litigation experience in child care law.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload independently.
• Flexible with remote court appearances and varying schedules.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in child care cases including care, adoption, protection, and custody.
• Manage meetings with social services, court appearances, and drafting statements and submissions.
• Provide court representation in family proceedings, across Kent and London High Court occasionally.
• Advocate for children's welfare and collaborate with the Children Guardian.
• Work closely with the Children Guardian to protect children's interests in court.
