Job summary

BrightPath Kids Center in Illinois is seeking a Center Cook to prepare healthy meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, while focusing on nutrition and food safety to keep children energized for learning.

You will also help maintain a clean, organized kitchen and may participate in classroom activities to support teachers and create a warm, engaging environment for the children.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of food preparation experience preferred.
• CACFP experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy meals for breakfast, lunch and snacks.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized.
• Support teachers and engage in classroom activities when possible.
• Work within regular operating hours.

What will you be doing?

As a Center Cook, you'll play a vital role in fueling young minds and bodies by preparing healthy and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Your attention to nutrition and food safety helps ensure our children are energized and ready to learn and grow each day. You’ll also take pride in keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly.

In addition to your kitchen role, we welcome and value cooks who are interested in spending time in the classroom. This unique opportunity allows you to build meaningful connections with the children by supporting teachers and engaging in classroom activities.
