BrightPath Kids in Simsbury is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support teachers and families, providing a home-like environment for children in our care, from 6 weeks to 12 years, in line with NAEYC guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorating inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that allows children to grow and explore.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
