Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Braintree, MA is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support teachers and families, providing a safe, nurturing environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years. Paid training is provided on classroom procedures, with no evenings or weekends required.

You will work alongside teachers to implement activities, maintain a clean space, and communicate with parents to support each child’s development in a compliant setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years.
• Assist teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorate classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment for children to explore.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.

What will you be doing?

As a Teacher Assistant, you will work side‑by‑side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines.

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years.
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorating inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
