Job summary

Action Behavior Centers in Charlotte, NC is hiring for full-time Behavior Technician roles. You will work one-on-one with children with autism, using play-based ABA therapy and receive paid training plus RBT certification coverage. No prior experience required.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm with optional Saturdays; location South Charlotte 28273; immediate openings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; must provide diploma or official transcript.
• At least 18 years old.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform active therapy tasks.
• Willing to complete paid RBT certification within 20 days of hire.
• Experience in childcare or mental health is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children ages 18 months to 8 years using ABA therapy.
• Follow personalized treatment plans and collect session data.
• Help children learn through play, movement, reading, and activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean therapy environment and collaborate with the team.

Pay (based On Education & Previous ABA Experience)

• Bachelor’s Degree: $16.50–$25.50 per hour


• Master’s Degree: $17.50–$27 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll work one-on-one with children ages 18 months to 8 years using play-based ABA therapy. In this role, you will:

• Follow personalized treatment plans and collect simple session data


• Help children learn through play, movement, reading, games, and hands-on activities


• Stay active and engaged throughout therapy sessions


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment


• Collaborate with a supportive team focused on helping kids grow and succeed

Job Requirements

• At least 18 years old


• Bachelor's Degree: This role requires a bachelor's degree. As part of the hiring process, you must provide proof of your degree (diploma or transcript showing the degree awarded and conferral date).


• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs


• Comfortable sitting, standing, crouching, and getting on/off the floor frequently


• Able to maintain an active pace while working with young children


• Reliable attendance and punctuality


• Willingness to complete paid RBT certification within 20 days of hire


• Team mindset: may occasionally help support a nearby ABC clinic if additional coverage is needed
