US-Air-Combat-Command at Shaw AFB is seeking a CY Program Assistant. This Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position is located at the Child Development Center. Pay is set by experience and education, with Target Level $21.76, Intermediate $20.35, and Entry $18.70.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Be a high school graduate, or equivalent; and be able to provide proof (i.e., diploma or equivalent) for verification.
Pass all required background checks (Tl, SCHRC, IRC and fingerprint checks) with a favorable adjudicated. Meet minimum immunization requirements for working with children and youth. Pass a pre-employment physical and subsequent physical. Be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and remain active for extended periods. Obtain and maintain required certifications, including First Aid and CPR, as applicable. Successfully complete all required training within established timeframes. Have mobility necessary to ensure safety of children and youth and engage in repetitive actions such as walking, standing, bending, stooping, and sitting on the floor. The work involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of a wide variety of child and youth activities, programs, and services, such as exposure to disease or injuries. Have the visual and auditory capabilities to supervise children and youth, to comply with sight and sound supervision requirements and to provide immediate responses when applicable. Majority of the work is performed in the CYP facility, including classroom settings, activity areas, and outdoor areas, with occasional indoor and outdoor field trips. Classrooms and office areas are adequately lit, heated, and ventilated. May work an uncommon tour of duty to include evenings and weekends to accommodate varying program operating schedules.
