Job Overview

This position involves serving as a Child and Youth Program Assistant (CYPA) in various programs, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and youth. Responsibilities include providing supervision, assisting with activities, preparing snacks/meals, and possibly transporting children in government vehicles.

Key Duties
  1. Coordinate and conduct activities for children/youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years.
  2. Implement age-appropriate programs and promote positive interactions.
  3. Assist in planning, organizing, and executing daily schedules.
  4. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  5. Follow policies and regulations, including safety and health standards.
Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks, including background investigation and drug testing.
  • Ability to complete physical requirements and provide immunization evidence.
  • Completion of required training, such as Food Handlers certification.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • For target and intermediate levels: specific experience or credentials related to youth development, childcare, or education.
  • For entry level: no prior experience required.
