Overview
New Directions Mental Health, a member of Transformations Care Network (TCN), is hiring a Child and Adolescent Therapist in Washington. We are committed to improving access to mental health care and supporting therapists in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families, creating a welcoming environment for diverse backgrounds.
- Provide tailored outpatient individual and family therapy based on each client’s needs to foster healing and resilience.
- Develop crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans to support stable functioning and empower clients.
- Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning, contributing expertise to enhance client care.
- Ensure timely completion of billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms while upholding professional standards.
- Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, administrative staff, and fellow therapists to provide a holistic approach to mental health care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field.
- Experience with children and families; if required, provisional license per state regulation.
- Educational background that leads to or has resulted in professional licensing.
- Passionate about mental health and committed to providing high-quality care.
- Dedicated to ongoing professional development including supervision and continuing education.
- Strong collaboration skills with a multidisciplinary team; ethical practice and confidentiality are essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families; effective time management and documentation skills.
Benefits and Compensation
Base compensation range is $33 – $38 per billable unit. Actual compensation may vary based on licensure, experience, market-driven adjustments, and incentive opportunities. These ranges reflect current practices and may be adjusted over time to remain competitive.
