Job summary

Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Pediatric Inpatient team. This is the state’s largest inpatient child psychiatry program and is housed in our new, state-of-the-art facility.

We offer a Monday–Friday, full-time schedule with J-1 waiver sponsorship and a pathway to permanent residency, along with generous benefits, sign-on and relocation assistance, and opportunities to teach within the Adult

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Experience leading interdisciplinary teams and coordinating inpatient care.
• Willingness to teach and mentor within the Psychiatry Residency Program.

• Oversee diagnostic evaluations and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.
• Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program development.
• Ensure therapies and therapeutic activities align with treatment goals.
• Conduct initial evaluations, initiate treatment interventions, and provide ongoing patient care.

Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Pediatric Inpatient team in Bangor, Maine. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in the largest inpatient child psychiatry program in the state, within our newly opened state-of-the-art facility.

J-1 Waiver sponsorship is available, with a pathway to permanent residency (Green Card) supported by experienced immigration counsel.

Position Highlights

• Join and lead an interdisciplinary team known for delivering high-quality psychiatric care
• Provide clinical leadership, teaching, and mentorship to care team members
• Participate in teaching and lecturing opportunities within our Adult Psychiatry Residency Program
• Predictable full-time, Monday – Friday schedule

Compensation Information

• $304,000-$313,000 annual base salary.

• The compensation range listed reflects the range Northern Light Health anticipates relying on in setting the wages for the position. The range may not necessarily include all additional compensation elements available, including but not limited to call pay, leadership stipends, etc.
