Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience considered.
• Minimum two years in child welfare, social services, or related supervision.
• Ability to obtain Child Advocate Manager certification within 12 months of hire.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Guardian ad Litem Office multidisciplinary team, management, DCF, service providers, DJJ, DOE, law enforcement, etc.
• Overseeing the work of Guardian ad Litem Office volunteers.
• Gathering and documenting independent pertinent case information.
• Providing best interests advocacy recommendations to the multidisciplinary team, to the court and to partners.
• Preparing written reports to the court.
• Providing testimony to the court.
• Attending hearings, depositions, case plan conferences, mediations, staffing and meetings.
• Visiting assigned children, parents, caregivers, schools and providers.
• Utilizing the organization’s database and reporting systems.
• Participating in training, meetings and conferences.
